A man whose body was found in a flat yesterday has been named.
Concerns for Stephen Chapman were raised after he went out on Friday night.
A man was arrested yesterday after a body was found in a flat in Delce Road, Rochester.
Police were called to the property to reports of burglary in progress just after 10am.
Officers remained there throughout the day with forensics arriving around 2.30pm.
A cordon was put in place at the road's junction with Foord Street.
Ross Street, which is nearby, was shut off by police, with at least four of the force's cars in the road.
The arrested man is still in custody being quizzed on suspicion of murder and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
A second man is also in custody on suspicion of drug-related offences.
There was still a major police presence in Delce Road and Ross Street this morning.
A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said she saw a police dog unit arrive and park at the junction of Foord Street and Delce Road.
She said: “I saw there were dogs here last night. There was a car there with a cage. They came up from the corner and along this road (Delce Road), so I thought it must have happened on this road.
“There were people wearing forensic suits so there must have been a body. There were many cars.
“Later on there was a fire truck too.”
