Sports Minister and Chatham MP Tracey Crouch visits walking netball tournament

Still beaming from their win at the regional championships, a walking netball team welcomed government minister Tracey Crouch along for a game.

The Chatham MP took her position as goal attack and even scored a couple on the court on Monday.

The team meets every Monday at King’s Rochester Sports Centre, Maidstone Road, which sponsors it. The game is similar to netball but players can’t run or jump and can hold the ball for four seconds.

But what is walking netball, and why is it so popular?
