Southern Water engineers work to fix burst pipe as Allhallows is left without water

Water is being delivered to a village after a burst pipe drained their supply.

People living in a village have been coping without water for over 24 hours due to a burst pipe.

The people of Allhallows have had no tap water, showers or even enough water to flush the toilet.

This comes after a pipe burst in Stoke Road.

Parish Council clerk Chris Fribbins said: "There was a poor supply the day before last (Tuesday), then yesterday people were left without water.

"Every time the engineers fixed a pipe another one burst. It was like a river running down Ratcliffe Highway.

"I went down to run the Youth Club but we had to cancel because there was no water to flush the toilet.

"People have had to make other arrangements and go to their friends' houses to shower."

Southern Water confirmed they were aware of the issue yesterday morning.
According to Twitter, engineers were at the scene by around 2pm yesterday.

The latest update from Southern Water said: "We are arranging alternative supplies of water to be delivered to Allhallows Village Hall. Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
