A burglar who spent two hours ransacking a home while a family were asleep upstairs has still not been caught.

A month after Veronica and Doug Quipp’s home in Walderslade was burgled, no arrests have been made.

The offender was captured on CCTV rifling through their home in Birkhall Close for almost two hours.

He stole precious jewellery, laptops, credit cards and even a school backpack during the raid on Tuesday, January 29.

The CCTV footage shows the criminal entered the property just before 5am and did not leave until just before 7am.

He even took drinks from the fridge and, after stealing a pack of cigarettes, stopped to smoke one on the driveway before getting into the family car and driving away.

The Ford Galaxy, was later discovered burnt out in a field opposite Fitness First in Walderslade Road.
