Singer Will Young has been added to this summer’s concerts at Rochester Castle.
Medway Council confirmed the news today after it was exclusively revealed in Monday's Medway Messenger.
The acclaimed singer songwriter, who shot to fame after winning ITV’s Pop Idol eight years ago, will be appearing in Medway for the first time on Thursday, July 15.
Will has sold more than eight million records worldwide and is the proud owner of two BRIT awards, including Best British Single for Your Game. His latest album, entitled The Hits, a collection of his best known singles was released recently and has already reached platinum status.

Tickets for Will Young's concert are £32.50 and will go on sale at 10am on Monday, March 1.
Others confirmed so far include Status Quo £35) who will be kicking off the concerts on July 14 and the return of The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for the Castle Proms (£29.50) on the final night of the concerts, July 17.
One more act, to perform on Friday, July 16, will be announced shortly.
