Witnesses are still being urged to come forward as detectives continue to hunt for the person who stabbed a teenager in Gillingham.

More than a week after a 17-year-old, from Dartford, was attacked at Gillingham railway station, leaving him in a critical condition, no arrests have been made.

The victim, who suffered stab wounds to his chest and stomach, is still recovering in hospital and is described as being in a stable condition.

The stabbing followed an argument onboard a London-bound train as it waited to leave the station just before 6.30pm on Tuesday, July 24.

The argument then spilled out into the booking hall and an alleyway opposite the station forecourt in Balmoral Road. The victim collapsed outside the station as commuters rushed to his aid.

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040, quoting incident number B3/LSA of July 25, 2012
