A woman and a child were injured in a multi-car crash in Gillingham this afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Pear Tree Lane at 12.15pm following the collision involving four cars.

Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a woman and a child were treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed to traffic while arrangements were made to recover the vehicles and reopened at around 2.30pm.
