A woman has been charged after more than 30 bags of cocaine were seized.
Police officers stopped a Vauxhall Insignia in Lower Rainham Road, Rainham, after suspecting the driver was involved in the supply of controlled drugs on Sunday (November 5).
They completed a search and seized ten cocaine deals and four mobile phones.
The driver was arrested and taken into custody. Officers also seized a further 30 bags of cocaine, cash and more mobile phones.
Naomi Coates, of Sundridge Hill, Rochester was later charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply, possession of criminal property, namely the seized cash, driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.
The 23-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday (November 8).
In a separate incident on Monday (November 6), suspected uncut cocaine was recovered by local beat officers in Strood.
The constables were on patrol in Darnley Road at around 11am when a parked car came to their attention.
Suspecting the vehicle to be stolen, checks were completed which confirmed it was displaying an incorrect registration plate.
The officers carried out a search inside the car and found a solid block of suspected cocaine wrapped in a bag and placed inside a cup.
The 70g block was seized and inquiries are underway to identify the person responsible for the car.
