Woman charged following Chatham pharmacy burglary

A woman has been charged after a burglary at a pharmacy in Chatham.

Katy Stafford, 38, of no fixed address, has been charged with one count of burglary and two counts of shoplifting.

The charges follow an incident at a clothes shop in Chatham on Wednesday October 24 where items of clothing were stolen.

The following day a shop in The Pentagon Centre was also targeted and a quantity of make-up products were reported stolen.

On Friday October 26 a pharmacy in New Road, Chatham, was reported to have been broken into, and controlled drugs of class B and class C as well as make-up were reported stolen.

Ms Stafford was charged with the offences on Saturday October 27 and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 29 where she pleaded guilty to the charges and was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on a date yet to be determined.
