Part of The Brook in Chatham has been closed after a woman was hit by a car.

Police were called just before 1.15pm today (Monday) to reports a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a silver Chrysler estate.

A 20-year-old woman suffered leg injuries and is being treated by ambulance staff.

The road has been closed at the junction with Batchelor Street and traffic is being directed up Slickett’s Hill.
