A woman who went missing from her home has been found safe after police appealed for the public’s help in trying to locate her.

Alice Bass, 49, of Kenilworth Drive, Rainham, had gone missing from her home early yesterday (Monday) morning.

Officers were concerned for her welfare and appealed for the public’s help in tracing her car.

The police helicopter was searching the Parkwood and Rainham areas yesterday morning.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "The missing woman from Rainham has now been found safe and well. Officers would like to thank those who helped with the search."
