A woman was taken to hospital after getting stuck on mud flats on the River Medway near Strood Pier on Tuesday afternoon.
The Medway Coastguard team along with the Sheerness RNLI inshore lifeboat and paramedics and police were called out to the area just after 4pm to help rescue the woman from the rising tide.
However, when they arrived the woman had been helped off the mud flats by two police officers and a member of the public.
A spokesman for the coastguard said the woman was taken to hospital by ambulance.
