A 39-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman with a hammer.
Police were called at around 9.15pm yesterday following a disturbance in the Canal Road area of Strood.
The alleged victim, who knows the suspect, suffered a minor knee injury.
The man, who has no address, was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
