THE cream of Kent’s young pool players will do battle this weekend. Chatham Pool and Snooker Club host the Kent Youth Open Championships with a guaranteed prize fund of £300.

Chatham’s England Youth international Jordan Church will be among the favourites to take the Under-18s title with Medway players Jamie Swayland, Matt Sears, Barry Wakefield and Liam Bird looking for honours in the Under-16s.

Registration takes place at 10am and entry costs £5.
