Medway Council’s Vince Maple and Richard Hicks to hold Q&A session

Got a question for the council? Now you have a chance to ask directly.

On Tuesday, council leader Cllr Vince Maple and chief executive Richard Hicks will be quizzed by members of the public.

The event starts at 7pm at The Howard School, Rainham, which the two men formerly attended.

The evening will be hosted by former BBC South East journalist Rob Smith, who is also a Medway resident.

Cllr Maple said: “When I was elected as council leader in May, I pledged to improve the way residents can interact with the council and to build closer links with the community.

“Alongside our weekly One Minute Medway, I am delighted to be holding a new public information evening and am looking forward to meeting even more residents to discuss not only what they love about Medway, but also hear from them their concerns about the area or realistic improvement suggestions as well as answering their questions on the topics we cover.”

Tickets are free but must be reserved at here.

Mr Hicks said: “I am incredibly proud of where I live and work and am grateful to The Howard for giving Vince and me the opportunity to hold this important event for our residents to meet with us and to hear about some of the things we’re working on.

“We want to hear from our residents and are making the event interactive, giving everyone the opportunity to get involved in the discussion, helping us shape the future of Medway, a place we can all be proud of.”
