Patients will get the chance to quiz Medway Maritime Hospital bosses in an annual meeting tomorrow.
A new "interactive listening event" lasting two hours has been introduced to the annual members' meeting of the hospital's ruling foundation trust.
It begins at 2pm in the John Spence Gallery, with the formal members' meeting kicking off at 4.30pm and finishing at 6pm.
The meeting follows a difficult year for the hospital.
Medway was one of 11 hospitals put in special measures by the health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, over poor care and high death rates.
A review by NHS medical director Sir Bruce Keogh exposed an A&E department which was no longer fit for purpose and serious problems with under-staffing.
The controversy has scuppered the trust's proposed merger with Dartford's hospital trust, which chiefs had said was crucial for the hospitals' financial stability.
A&E waiting times, which were regularly the worst in England this summer, have improved in the last few weeks with more than 90% of patients now being seen within four hours. The target is 95%.
