Delivery driver arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine in Gillingham

It may have seemed a long wait for one takeaway order - after police pulled over a delivery driver.

Officers arrested a 36-year-old Gillingham man on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and possessing cocaine.

The man was arrested in Cornwallis Avenue, Gillingham, on Saturday by officers from the Roads Policing Unit.

Roads police tweeted to apologise to those who had not received their order.

The driver has been released for further enquiries.
