Gillingham have moved kick-off times in October for games against Ipswich Town, Oxford United, MK Dons, Portsmouth and Fleetwood

Gillingham’s game at MK Dons is the latest match to have been moved to an earlier kick-off time.

Three of Gillingham’s Saturday games in October, against Oxford United, MK Dons and Fleetwood, will now kick off at 1pm instead of the more traditional 3pm start time.

With no fans allowed inside grounds at present, clubs have more flexibility over moving games, without the need to bother the local authorities.

Fans can currently watch home matches for free online if they are a season ticket holder, while all games are available for £10. As yet there is no word on when fans could be allowed back in.

Gillingham have already broken from the norm this season, playing one of their EFL Trophy matches against Crawley at 5.30pm and their League Cup match against Coventry City at 6pm.

Their game against Portsmouth at Priestfield in League one scheduled for Tuesday, October 20 will get underway at 6.30pm, rather thank the usual time of 7.45pm.

The Gills have also moved their forthcoming EFL Trophy game against Ipswich Town to a 7pm kick-off. That game takes place on Tuesday.

The 1pm Saturday fixtures are against Oxford United (October 10), MK Dons (October 17) and Fleetwood (October 24).

They do kick off in Shrewsbury this Saturday at the normal time of 3pm, while their home game against Sunderland remains the same, for now. In a busy month of games they are also heading back to Ipswich for a league game on Tuesday, October 27 at 7.45pm.
