It’s free entry to watch Chatham Town’s friendly against Tunbridge Wells tonight with donations going towards the away side's clubhouse rebuild.

An electrical fault led to a fire that ripped through the clubhouse at Southern Counties East side Tunbridge Wells last month. The club described it as a “dark day” in their history after the “catastrophic fire” destroyed much of the building's interior.

The single-storey structure at the Culverden Stadium - which had only recently been refurbished - contained a bar and toilets and on non-matchdays was used to bring in extra revenue as a function area for hire.

A justgiving page was set up in the aftermath of the fire with the aim of raising £10,000 to help with costs of a refurbishment.

Isthmian League South East leaders Chatham town are now hosting the side in a friendly match at their Bauvil Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick off). Entry is free and all donations will go towards the cost of works needed in the clubhouse.
