Boxer Adam Dingsdale feels sharp as he continues his English title bid

Adam Dingsdale got his English title challenge back on track with a comfortable win over Csaba Bolcskei.

Dingsdale, who lost out to Kevin Hooper in March’s English lightweight title fight, showed a quick recovery from that loss with Saturday’s points win – his 14th professional victory – over Bolcskei at York Hall.

The win also means another English title shot could be on the horizon.

One more loosener, scheduled for July, could precede a shot at the English belt late in the year for the Hoo man.

Dingsdale (14-1-3) said: “It was a comfortable win and the good thing was that I didn’t get caught with any shots.

“I nearly got him out of there in the fifth round but he was tough, taking a lot of shots to the body. He held on and survived but I felt comfortable.

“I wasn’t able to show my full potential against him but I felt sharp and it was good to get back to winning ways.

“I am back on track and hopefully with a couple of wins that will give me some momentum going into a big fight at the end of the year.”

Dingsdale wants to fight for a title, preferably the English one, although he hasn’t ruled out scrapping for the Southern Area belt again, one he won in June 2014 before a successful defence eight months later.
