Gillingham boss Mark Bonner has reiterated his expectation for a quiet transfer deadline day.

The summer transfer window closes on Friday evening but the Gills did much of their business early and are not expecting anything major to happen.

Bradley Dack became the eighth new addition earlier this month, although he remains at least a fortnight away from featuring in the first team.

Transfer-listed duo George Lapslie and Oli Hawkins continue to be involved with the first-team squad, although the latter was believed to be injured and didn’t feature at Fleetwood.

“I don’t know if we’re done but I don’t expect much to happen,” said Bonner.

“You can never say never, can you? I don’t know what will happen.

“It’s not a busy week I don’t think, I don’t think I’ll be eating pizza at 10 o’clock at the ground, I think we’re pretty much done.”

When asked if it could be a case of one in, one out, the Gills boss stated: “I don’t see anything happening. Full stop.”

The Gills have already signed Elliott Nevitt, Armani Little, Jack Nolan, Aaron Rowe, Marcus Wyllie, Jacob Wakeling, Euan Williams and Dack this summer.
