Ramsgate lost their unbeaten home record at the top of Isthmian South East.

The league leaders suffered a 2-0 defeat against struggling Merstham in front of a crowd of 1,031 at Southwood.

Both goals came in the first half, to leave Rams winless in three games.

Title rivals Cray Valley missed the chance to move level on points after being held to a goalless draw at home to Chichester.

The Millers remain unbeaten, though, and still have a game in hand on Ben Smith’s side.

Michael Salako scored a hat-trick as Herne Bay beat Broadbridge Heath 3-1 to move back into the play-off places.

Hythe were involved in an extraordinary 4-4 draw at Littlehampton, having led three times.

Johan Caney-Bryan gave the Cannons a second-minute lead but they were 2-1 down after 10.

Caney-Bryan soon levelled and Frannie Collin put Hythe back in front from the penalty spot, only for Littlehampton to equalise before the hour mark.

Jake Embery made it 4-3 to Steve Watt’s side but they were rocked by a last-minute equaliser.

There was plenty of drama at Greatness Park, too, as Sevenoaks saw off Lancing in the last 10 minutes.

First-half goals from Daniel Bennett and Emmanuel Mensah put Town in charge but the visitors hit back after the break.

Daniel Carr restored the hosts’ lead seven minutes from time and Kieron Cadogan made it 4-2 at the death.

Sheppey’s game at Beckenham and Ashford’s trip to Burgess Hill were postponed.

Chatham took the honours in their Isthmian Premier Kent derby against Margate while Folkestone’s home game against Potters Bar was postponed.
