Defending champions Lordswood ensured this year’s Kent League Premier Division title race will go to the final weekend as they saw off leaders Minster on Saturday.

Minster were skittled for 85, Yashraj Joshi (17) and opening batsman Dan Stickels (15) the only players to make double figures for the Sheppey side.

Adeel Hussain (4-25) and captain Calum MacLeod (4-31) did the bulk of the work.

Joshi returned 3-28 but Jack Laraman and Ed Taylor, unbeaten on 14 and 13 respectively, ensured Lordswood raced to 88-4 inside the 14th over.

Second-placed Blackheath sit only six points off the summit after they were 38-run winners at St Lawrence & Highland Court.

Opening batsman Jack Hersh top-scored with 37 for Blackheath, who totalled 154 all out, despite Culum Annand (2-15), Shineyu Anand (2-19), Josh Julian (2-25) and opening bowler Sudesh Thakur (2-44) getting among the wickets.

In reply, Brad Reynolds’ 40 not out was not enough, as Kent bowler Arafat Bhuiyan (4-35) sparkled to set up an interesting end to the season at the top-end of the division.

Third-bottom Sandwich Town earned a five-wicket win against Canterbury to ensure they will survive and the city club will go down.

Duncan Moore (36) and Billy Amaouche (33) guided Canterbury to 158 all out, opening bowler William Thurgate (4-21) and Zack Fagg (3-8) best with the ball.

In Sandwich’s successful reply, opening batsman Shahmeer Malik’s 43 set the platform before stand-in skipper Fagg (25 not out) saw them across the line.

Opening bowler Jarred Lysaught (2-30) and Cameron Wilshaw (2-38) shone for Canterbury.

Bickley Park are set to get relegated alongside Canterbury despite a three-wicket weekend victory over Hayes.

Hayes totalled 141 all out, largely thanks to Rory Low’s unbeaten 50. Opening bowler Jason Benn (4-36) impressed for Park.

In Bickley Park’s successful response, Michael Mitchell top-scored with 45 to get them home inside the 42nd over despite the best efforts of Andrew Eddicott (2-15).

Tunbridge Wells beat visitors Bexley by 86 runs.

There were half-centuries for wicketkeeper Sam Smith (88) and Kent’s Marcus O'Riordan (55) in their 235 all out. Opening bowler Jamie Batten returned 4-31 for Bexley.

Ahmed Jamal - batting at No.9 - offered some late resistance with 38 but Sri Lankan overseas spinner Dileepa Jayalath (4-17) left Bexley 149 all out.
