Gillingham expect to have Lee Martin fit again for their match at Charlton Athletic

Captain Lee Martin is set to return for Gillingham’s game at Charlton.
The Gills travel to the Valley today (Monday) for their second League 1 fixture in three days.
Martin missed Saturday’s draw with AFC Wimbledon after suffering through illness.
Boss Steve Lovell, speaking after Saturday's 2-2 draw with Wimbledon, said: “Lee Martin will be available for Monday, I think.
“He has been ill since (last) Tuesday but he was alright on Saturday and at a push he most probably could have played.
“But I don’t have people playing if they have been out the day before because you are not really up to it, but we will see.”
Martin had come under fire from some fans following the Oxford game, despite impressive performances leading up to that game, prompting Lovell to ask for restraint.
Lovell, speaking generally in his matchday programme notes, said: “The supporters have backed us in every game but unfortunately there are people that are very negative towards some of my players which doesn’t help my job and the confidence of my team.
“I understand (fans are entitled to an opinion) but what I don’t understand is that players are booed for having a bad game when they have been fantastic all season.
“Players don’t mean to make mistakes. If they are not working hard enough they deserve criticism and that will come from me and my coaching staff.”
Scott Wagstaff (hamstring) and Elliott List (illness) could be back for Charlton. Both Connor Ogilvie and Sean Clare will be available.
Their loan deals from Tottenham and Sheffield Wednesday respectively are set to be extended for the remainder of the season.
