Keith Levett is looking for a new challenge after quitting his role as Chatham Town assistant manager.

The Chats No.2 has been assistant manager since 2011 but left on good terms this week.

Levett said: “When the season ends you think, ‘do I want to do this for another year?’

“I have enjoyed my time at Chatham and it’s been a great experience alongside some lovely people.

“As an assistant you support the players and you support the manager but I can’t see myself doing that for another year. I want to do something else that isn’t just about supporting people.”

Levett works in football as an academy coach for 16-19 year-olds with teams that include Margate and Crystal Palace.

He said: “I wish Chatham all the best and I have nothing but positive things to say about the manager Kevin Watson.

“I would like to maybe work at a slightly higher level or work with identifying players and possibly even a No.1 somewhere.

“I haven’t left Chatham for another job. I am enjoying spending time with my family and I will see what crops up.”
