Medway Area Sunday League round-up (21/11/21)

Leaders Pegasus 81 lost their unbeaten record as AFC Shorne made it six wins out of six in their top-of-the-table Division 4 clash despite goals from a Declan Fox penalty and Sanjeev Sureshkumar.

Medway Knights are now the only other unbeaten side in the division, following their 2-2 draw with Bredhurst Juniors United. Andy Collins and Andy Hales scored for Medway Knights, John Clarkson and Louis Harrison replied.

Medway Sport XI claimed just their second league win of the season, 4-0 at home to Milton & Fulston Zebras with goals from Liam Banbury, Conaugh Fawcett, Jordan Lorentson and Kallo Francis.

Cameron Davies bagged a hat-trick with Joseph White also on target in London Road's 4-1 victory over Swallow Rise 93 Reserves, who scored through Mike Baker.

Owen Lampard scored all four goals for Kent Marina in their 4-1 win over The Stag, Martin Stimpson replying.

Tunbury Athletic went down 4-2 to Thamesview Rangers as goals from Josh Govier, Tom Lichfield, Jake Griffiths and Byansi Sojie Thomas proved decisive. Danny Stevens and Lewis Bridgesnetted for Tunbury.

Division 3 leaeders Real 60 ran out 4-2 winners over Medway Rovers 20 courtesy of a Kye Osborne hat-trick and Charlie Burns.

Jack Thompson equalled a Pentagon Reserves club record by scoring five times in a 9-0 win over Fleur De Lis. Phill Dadd scored his first goal in 12 years with Bradley Killick (2) and Kieran Daly completing their tally.

Joe Sculley and a double by Ben Smith led Medway United West to a 3-2 win over Rochester Eagles, whose goals came from James Spencer and Jason Clark.

Eagles Gold won 5-1 at Rainham Eagles through Izaak Camber (2), Bailey Hooker (2) and Tom Tingley, Sonny Andrews netted a consolation for the hosts.

Division 2 leaders Rochester put Kent Marina 19 to the sword, winning 7-0 thanks to Michael Curran (3), Jordan Vidler, Alfie Montague, Grant Laker and Tommy Lee Box.

Second-placed FC Catalans won 8-1 over Medway United central. Jonathan Murphy (4), Samuel Heard (2), Ben Redding and Jacob Dansie all found the net.

Charley Davies, Connor Wilkins (2) and Bill Dobbs were on target for Swale Madrid in their 4-1 win over Gillingham Town.

Anchorians United had Ife Famoriyo, David Odumosu and Martin Mwaungulu to thank for the points in a 3-1 win over The Walnut Tree.

Palmerston Athletic lost 4-0 to Cantium FC, whose goals came from Jack Norris, Jayden Sebesta and a Harry Whitehead brace.

Swallow Rise 93 took over top spot in Division 1 with a 5-2 success at ASK Medway.

Caleb Luckhurst (3), Kane Parkes and Steve Keats netted for Rise, Bobby Stuart and Lee Hewitt replied for the home side.

Former leaders Milton & Fulston United lost 3-2 to Omega 92 despite goals from Nagene May and Charlie Kavanagh. Strikes by Daniel Lee, Dominic Monk and Lee Gambell led Omega to three points.

New Brompton 1893 claimed their first win of the campaign, Tyree Malcolm with the only goal against Thamesview.

Jack Burnham (3), Kieren Stannard, Ainsley Linton and Gideon Abiodun were all on target for Cliffe Woods Colts A in their 6-1 victory over Hempstead United, Callum Burton with their consolation.

Liam White's lone strike for Cross Park was not enough as they went down 6-1 to Riverside Academy. Jorge Machado (3), Asabere Boateng, Joshua Obafemi and Rodney Kumankumah all found the target.

Medway Sport's Alfie Davey hit a hat-trick as they won 4-1 at Borden Park Wanderers in the Super League. Aaron Lorentson also netted with Lewis Austin scoring for Borden.

In the Kent Premier Cup, Dan Haggar (2), Jamie Reeves and an own goal saw Cuxton 1991 home at Rainham Kenilworth Athletic.

Josh Humphries and George Beadle were on the scoresheet for Eagles in their 4-2 defeat to Chatham Town SR, with Matthew Getthing and Anthoney Uden both scoring twice.

Aaron Saffery's goal was not enough for Wigmore as they lost 4-1 to Bells, Emannuel Oli (2), Salah Salah and Tobi Baruwa all finding the net.

Leysdown won 5-1 against Anchorians Athletic in the Kent Junior Cup, Taylor Tuck-Brown with their consolation goal.

In the Kent Junior Trophy, Ashley Trigg and Phil Swatton helped Cliffe Woods Colts Reserves to a 2-1 victory over Sheerness East.

Park Tavern lost 6-1 to Darland Spartans after goals from Yeni Yuseph (2), Yomi Yuseph, Kane Hutton, Charlie Plummer and an own goal.

Quested won the Senior Challenge Shield final with a 3-1 win over Swale Madrid.

Quested opened the scoring after a few minutes through Stuart West and added another before half-time.

Fjord Rogers scored his second goal in the second half to go 3-0 up before Lee Browning pulled one back before the end.
