Medway Area Sunday League round-up (20/02/22)

There's just six points separating the top five sides in Division 3.

Medway United West are up to fourth after goals from Ben Smith and Cameron Whybrow secured 2-1 victory over leaders Real 60, whose reply came from Aaron Hawks.

Charlie Hetterley (4), Alfie Buckley (2), Michael Simmonds and Jordan Tomsett were on the scoresheet in third-placed Bredhurst’s 8-1 victory against Eagles Gold, Bailey Hooker with their consolation.

Medway Rovers 20 are fifth following a 4-3 win over Rochester Eagles. Jordan and Tiago Oliveira, Sam Kenny and Kenny Gardiner scored for Medway, Joshua Baker (2) and James Spencer replied for Eagles.

Ed King and Timon Firmin goals were not enough for Your Move Chatham as they went down 5-2 to Rainham Eagles. Luke Johnstone, Cy Boorman, Joe Craft, George Birch and a Malcolm Howard own goal sealed the win.

Darland Spartans won 8-2 at Borden Park Wanderers in the Super League, with goals from Kane Hutton (3), Yemi Yusuph (2), Louis Jordan and Dylan Budge (2).

George Beadle scored the Eagles' goal in their 1-1 draw with Medway Rovers 17.

Division 1 leaders High Halstow won 6-2 at Hempstead United thanks to Jez Hammond (2), Joel Wakefield, Luqman Adesina, Louis Kennedy and Billy Newlands.

Anchorians Athletic were held to a 1-1 draw by Milton & Fulston United, Will Mawson's goal for Anchorians was cancelled out by an own goal.

Kye Humphrey scored for ASK Medway in their 1-1 draw with Cliffe Woods Colts A, who also replied with an own goal.

New Brompton 1893 lost 3-1 to Cross Park as Lenny Middleton, Josh Mitchell and Christian Brooker their marksmen outscored Gianluca Corbo.

Riverside Academy had Ali Hardy, Michael Okoh, Rodney Kumankumah, Jordan Gower, Asabere Boateng, Josh West and Kristian Duzda to thank for their 7-3 victory over Thamesview, whose goals came from Peter Dorrington, Louis Dunkerly and George Allan.

Division 2 leaders Cliffe Woods Colts Reserves maintained their unbeaten record with a 5-0 win over The Walnut Tree thanks to Ainsley Linton (2), Eddie Pattenden, Taylor Fraser and Henry McGuiness.

Jack Yeowell scored both goals for FC Catalans against Gillingham Town while Swale Madrid (Alfie Constable) and Rochester (Jordan Vidler) shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

Dean Nash scored Kent Marina 19's consolation as they went down by 9-1 to Cantium, Jamie Blackham (2), Jordan Whelan, Dylan Lockyer (2) and Sam Franklin (4) did the damage.

Medway United Central won the basement battle with winless Palmerston Athletic 3-2 thanks to Ryan Evans, Chris Fox and Simon Almond. Sean Gilham and Anthony Macklin were on the scoresheet for Palmerston.

There's new leaders in Division 4 as AFC Shorne lead the way following a 9-0 win over The Stag. Hat-tricks for Kieran Wells and Marcus Sutton plus goals by Phil Reeves, Jack Clover and Murray Crundwell sealed the points.

Pegasus 81 lost top spot after a 2-1 defeat to Bredhurst Juniors United, despite Declan Fox's goal.

Rob Lloyd and Liam Banbury scored the Medway Sport XI goals as they went down 11-2 to Medway Knights.

Gary Marshall scored for Milton & Fulston Zebras as they drew with Kent Marina Gunners who replied with a penalty.

Jake Bott scored the Swallow Rise 93 Reserves goal as they drew 1-1 with London Road, Kieran Nash replying.

The Stumble lost 2-1 to Thamesview Rangers as Jake Griffiths and Josh Govier outscored Darren Hawes.

Cuxton 91 lost 6-3 to Quested in the Senior League Cup following goals for James McDonald (2), Stuart West, Frazer Rogers, Fjord Rogers and Brad Shaffer.
