Medway Messenger Sunday League round-up (30/05/21)

Premier Division leaders 16A moved to within one win of the league title following an 11-0 defeat of Medway Sport.

They scored through Chimdi Otuadinma (3), Zack Taylor, Jack Shaw, Archie Felipe, Frankie Phipps, Jack Felipe, Lorenzo Cuozzo and two own goals.

A Bradley Killick penalty, Sam Dunn and an own goal saw second-placed Pentagon to a 3-2 win over Borden Park Wanderers. They trail the leaders by seven points with three games left.

Ben Hawley and Oluwadamilare Oladipo netted in Anchorians' 2-0 win against Thamesview.

Rainham Kenilworth Rangers kept their Division 1 title hopes alive with a double-header success over leaders Medway Rovers 17.

Daryl Tripp scored both goals in a 2-1 win before Tripp and Sam Porter netted in match two to secure a 2-0 victory.

Rangers trail Rovers by three points but have two games in hand.

Cuxton 91 will also fancy their chances, they trail Rovers by three points but have three games in hand following a 2-1 victory over Cliffe Woods Colts A. Dan Crisp and Ben Folkard netted for Cuxton with Ainsley Linton scoring in reply.

The fourth team in with a chance of taking top sport are Wigmore. They trail the leaders by four points and have three games in hand. Tom Bond and Michael Freeman (2) netted in a 3-2 win over Omega 92, who replied through Jamie Nash and Joe Green.

Bottom side Medway United Central lost 4-0 to New Brompton 1893, a Tom Barnes hat-trick and Gary Edkins doing the damage.

Rochester and Cross Park played out a 1-1 draw, Jordan Vidler scoring for Rochester with Josh Mitchell replying.

Division 2 leaders Eagles are eight points clear at the top after a double-header win over Bredhurst Juniors.

Eagles won the first game 2-1 against Bredhurst Juniors thanks to Darren Minall and an own goal. Minall was joined on the scoresheet by Ruivo Lopes and Callum Sawyer in a 3-0 success in match two.

Louis Hanley’s strike was not enough as Cliffe Woods Colts Reserves lost 3-1 to second-placed FC Catalans, whose goals came from Jack Yeowell, Samuel Heard and Ryan Fuller.

Lewis Creed led the way with five goals, Luke Mills bagged a hat-trick and Charley Kavanagh completed the scoring for Milton & Fulston United in a 9-0 victory at Palmerston Athletic.

Ife Famo (2), Joe Breen and Erikas Ivasauskas goals proved decisive for Anchorians United as they ran out 4-0 winners at Pentagon Reserves.

Rainham Eagles lost 4-0 to Chatham Town MFC, who had Adam Norris (2), Sam Wells and Harry Whitehead to thank for their victory.

Division 3 leaders Swallow Rise had Caleb Luckhurst to thank for his double against ASK Medway, who replied through Bobby Stuart.

Joshua Robinson and George Oliver scored for Bredhurst in their 4-2 loss to Eagles Gold.

In a game of 15 goals, Five Bells came out on top winning 11-4 against Medway Rovers 20. There were hat-tricks for Jack Webster and Ben Smith, a brace by Jack Marshall and singles from Wayne Watson, Phil Chapman and Aaron Dawes. Sam Kenny, Jason Martin, David Little and Albert Thompson replied for Medway Rovers 20.

Real 60 shaded Medway United West 4-3 with goals from Dave Withey, Kia Osborne, Darryl Fiveash and Tyler Wilson. Jason Manderson (2) and Gary Manderson netted in reply for the visitors.
