Invicta Dynamos are beaten by Chelmsford Chieftains a day after a big win over Streatham Redskins

Invicta Dynamos succumbed to their first defeat of the season on Sunday.

After back-to-back wins in their opening two NIHL South Division 1 matches they were beaten 5-1 by Chelmsford Chieftains.

The Essex side took a 1-0 lead in the first period on their home ice and doubled their lead in the second.

Home skater Ross Brears scored his second and Chelmsford’s third to leave Invicta struggling. The hosts were five up before Greg Chambers pulled one back for the visitors.

The Mos had started the weekend well, beating Streatham Redskins 12-4, in their Southern Cup opener.

Invicta were 4-2 up at the end of the first, with goals from Callum Fowler, Nicky Lewis, Steve Osman and Juraj Huska.

Anthony Leone opened his account in the second period and finished the game with four goals to his name.

Osman scored again, Huska completed his hat-trick and Fowler was also on target again in the rout.
