Gillingham chairman Paul Scally wants to keep Bradley Dack in January transfer window

Gillingham chairman Paul Scally wants to keep Bradley Dack but won’t rule out selling him.
The in-demand midfielder scored his 14th goal of the season last Saturday, hitting the winner against Peterborough, less than a week after the club rejected bids from Championship side Bristol City.
Mr Scally hinted this week that other clubs have expressed their interest in the 22-year-old but nobody has so far got close to the club’s valuation of their star asset.
Speculation surrounding Dack is sure to intensify as the transfer deadline for permanent deals closes on Monday night.
The Gills chairman said: “If a ridiculous offer comes in from a club that we think is right for Bradley and he wants to go there, then we will assess it as and when that happens.
“In the absence of that happening, then there is nothing really to assess.
“We don’t want him to leave us this season – that is the main thing. He is happy playing for us and wants to carry on being part of what we are doing.
“We don’t want to lose any of our players if we can avoid it because this is a good opportunity for us to have a crack at getting out of this division.
“There is a long way to go of course and we have only reached one of our goals so far, which is staying safe. Right now we are working towards our second goal and if we can achieve that, then it’s another goal achieved and we go on from there.”
