Lordswood produced an upset in the Kent Senior Trophy Second Round by knocking out Faversham on Saturday.

Fresh from a goalless draw in the Southern Counties East Premier Division between the two sides in midweek, Lords were on their travels in the rematch but that mattered little as they ran out 2-0 winners.

The visitors had already seen a goal ruled out for offside when Rahman Kareem put them ahead and Callum Peck made it two before the break.

Faversham fielded two new signings in former Folkestone man Finn O’Mara and the return of Nathan Wood but they couldn’t find a way past Tom Crump as Lords booked their place in the last eight.

They’ll be joined in the draw by Whitstable, who scored three times in the last 11 minutes as they won 4-1 at home to Bearsted.

Emmanuel Oloyede put The Oystermen ahead inside the first minute but Alfie Eldridge levelled with 20 minutes remaining. However, Harvey Smith and a Josh Oliver brace ensured Whitstable’s progress.

Matt Gething bagged a second-half winner as Snodland won 2-1 at home to Kennington.

Francis Babalola’s opener for the hosts had been cancelled out by Sam Fisher in the first half-hour for Kennington.

Hollands & Blair needed penalties to end Division 1 K Sports’ interest in the competition. The teams drew 1-1 in 90 minutes before sharing four goals in 11 minutes during extra-time.

Richard Atkins, Matt Bourne and Marlon Peter-Brown netted for Blair, Owen Rayman, Huw Mitchell and Alfie Bates responded for Sports before Blair won 4-3 on penalties.

Second-half goals from Tom Ash and Joe Chalker saw Erith Town defeat Fisher 2-0 while Croydon beat Canterbury after extra-time.

The teams were level at 2-2 in 90 minutes with Harry Bradford and Dan Haastrup scoring for City. Rob Lawrence’s goal in extra-time was not enough as James Ayetine hit a treble for the hosts in the extra half-hour.

Corinthian’s tie at Larkfield was abandoned due to player injury. The scores were level at 1-1 at the time, Jamie Billings’ opener for the visitors was cancelled out by Matt Day.

In league action, Deal moved into fourth in the Premier Division with a 7-3 win over Rusthall.

A crowd of 369 were not short of entertainment as the teams went in level at 2-2 – all four goals coming in a seven-minute period as Aaron Millbank and Rory Smith goals were cancelled out each time by Tarik Ibrahim and Jesse Hammond for the visitors.

Deal then turned up the heat on a chilly afternoon in the second half with five goals in 20 minutes. Millbank completed his hat-trick, Ben Chapman, Alfie Foster and an own goal completing their tally before Rusthall netted a late consolation.

Alfie Bloomfield scored the only goal of the game for Punjab United, who are up to eight following a 1-0 win at Tunbridge Wells.

Goals from debutant Dean Grant, Robbie Dolan and Luke Burdon led Lydd to a 3-0 home win over Sutton Athletic while Alessio Akabugou scored twice for Holmesdale, who beat Welling Town 4-2.

The top two in Division 1 both recorded wins, AFC Whyteleafe beating Meridian 4-1, the same scoreline that saw Lewisham defeat third-placed Rochester United.
