Tunbridge Wells suffered their second league defeat of the season, losing 4-0 at an impressive Erith Town side.

The Dockers led through Russell Bedford’s first-half goal. Steadman Callender doubled their lead midway through the second half before late strikes from Danny Gannon and Michael Power confirmed Erith’s dominance.

Two sides in the bottom six produced a 10-goal thriller as Tower Hamlets drew 5-5 at home to Canterbury.

Alex Smith’s second-minute opener for City looked a distant memory as Hamlets raced into a 3-1 lead inside 16 minutes through Diego Da Silva’s brace and Segun Ikudehinbu.

But Enock Soganile and Dale Horton levelled it up at 3-3. City then led 4-3 and 5-4 thanks to Smith and Horton but Denilson Carvalho’s 88th-minute goal rescued a point for the home side.

Punjab United’s topsy-turvy form continued as they went down 1-0 at home to Crowborough, Rhys Bartlett’s second-minute goal dividing the teams.

Three goals in the last 20 minutes saw Beckenham defeat 10-man Lordswood 3-0.

Jamie Brown, Tunde Aderonmu and Steve Townsend were all on target against a Lords team who had keeper Ryan Turner sent-off on the half-hour. Jason Perry kept Becks at bay for a long spell but his resistance was finally broken.

Inconsistent Bearsted went down 5-2 at newboys Balham, who have moved up to fifth spot.

In the FA Vase, Sheppey needed second-half goals from Richie Hamill and Harrison Carnegie to claim a 2-0 win at Sutton Athletic.

Hanworth Villa proved too strong for Welling Town. Sam Merson, son of former Arsenal and England forward Paul, netted twice as the visitors won 6-1, Dennis Agbudume scoring a late consolation.

Kennington are through to the second round after a 5-4 penalty shoot-out win over Fisher. Callum Peck had scored for Ton in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Holmesdale battled back from 2-0 down to level the scores at home to AFC Uckfield before bowing out 4-2. James Shields and Nathan Palmer were on target for Holmesdale.
