Billy Knott has completed a move from Gillingham to League 2 newcomers Lincoln City.
The midfielder was transfer listed by the Gills at the end of last season.
He spent the end of the 2016/17 season on loan with The Imps as they clinched the National League title.
Knott joined the Gills a year ago on a two year deal after leaving Bradford City.
He made 15 league starts for the club under former boss Justin Edinburgh but just once following the arrival of Ady Pennock as head coach.

Lincoln boss Danny Cowley had known of Knott for many years and moved to sign the midfielder last season, bolstering his side as they competed for both a league title and glory in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
Knott finished last season with a title-winning medal and spoke about it during an interview at the end of last season.
Cowley has now moved in to sign Knott on a permanent deal.
Gills director of football Peter Taylor was glad to see a deal tied up.
Taylor said: “Ady was very honest with the players and who he felt would not be starting or in the squad.
“The last thing a player would want is to find out in the middle of July that they are not going to be starting. It gave Billy the chance to find a new club and so fair play to Ady for being honest."
Also on the transfer list is goalkeeper Stuart Nelson but the Gills have received no offers. He is out training with the squad in Northern Ireland.
