National League side Bromley have signed former Gills midfielder Billy Bingham.
The 28-year-old was released by Gillingham at the end of season, following two injury-hit years.
Bingham made 24 league starts for the Gills over the two years he was at the club, having joined on a free following his release from Crewe.
He has plenty of lower-league experience, with the ability to play defence or midfield, and Ravens boss Neil Smith didn’t have to think twice about the signing.
Smith told the club’s website that Bingham is a friend of a couple of players already at the club and added: “When the opportunity arose to speak to him it was a no brainer.
“He’s got the guile and the ability too, so it’s a fantastic signing for us.”
Bingham has played at Hayes Lane before, for Crystal Palace reserves, and joked: “The place has clearly changed a fair bit.
“I’m really pleased to be here. It’s a nice set-up here and the manager is great.”
