Defender Bradley Garmston has suffered another injury set-back.
The left-back looked set to be involved at Doncaster on Saturday after an encouraging injury-free pre-season.
He was recovering from persistent hamstring problems that followed a bad knee injury last summer, limiting him to just seven appearances during the 2016/17 campaign.
No player played more minutes than Garmston this pre-season but he now faces more uncertainty after picking up a calf injury.
Revealing the news on twitter, the 23-year-old said: “Gutted to be out with a calf injury, so angry/confused as to how this has happened but it’s just another obstacle I WILL overcome.
“Hopefully the scan won't show anything serious and I can get back playing asap. Confident my luck will change after this.”
Garmston suffered a dislocated knee-cap during last summer’s pre-season, finally making his way back into the team for a Checkatrade Trophy clash at his former club West Brom in November.
Injury problems persisted, however, ruining his entire season.
