Holcombe Hockey Club have boosted their ranks with more international quality.
Great Britain midfielder Rohan Bhuhi has joined the club from last season’s Men’s Premier Division rivals Southgate.
Bhuhi, 24, made his Great Britain debut in the FIH Pro League in Argentina in December, playing twice across four games under Paul Revington. In doing so, he also became the first Sikh to play for GB for 23 years.
He has also spent time with Beeston and was part of the Great Britain under-21 side which won the Sultan Johor Cup in 2019, before winning the Youth Sport Trust's Young Sports Person of the Year award in 2020.
Bhuhi said: “I’m very excited to be joining Holcombe.
"I hope to contribute to the team’s success and become part of the Holcombe family.”
New men’s head coach and director of hockey Kwan Browne, who has worked with Bhuhi at Southgate and continues to do so within the central system, added: “With his exceptional skills on the ball and incredible work ethic, Rohan is set to make a significant impact this season.
"I cannot wait to continue being part of his awesome journey.”
Bhuhi’s move follows the arrival of Felix Tully - Browne’s first signing - and New Zealand duo Kaitlin Cotter and Olivia Shannon.
