Chatham Town will be looking to bounce back from their surprise FA Cup defeat this Saturday.
The Isthmian Premier Division leaders lost 5-1 at home to Ramsgate in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.
Chats were two goals down before newly signed Tommie Fagg got one back shortly after the break, but there was to be no comeback, as Ramsgate bagged three more goals to clinch the win.
Kevin Hake’s men - who have won five from five in the league - host Cray Wanderers at the Bauvill Stadium on Saturday.
Hake said: “It’s been an interesting week at the club, for the first time I can remember we had a clean sweep of defeats, with the men’s and women’s teams losing and the youth crashing out of the FA Youth Cup (losing 5-2 against Rusthall).
“That is how quickly fortunes can change in football so its important we remain grounded knowing this is just part of the game.
“There is always the next game and it’s imperative that we don’t get too high or too low, no matter what the outcome.”
In contrast to Chats, weekend visitors Cray Wanderers are without a win in their first five league games, scoring just once, but they were on the right side of a 5-1 FA Cup scoreline last weekend with a morale-boosting win over Newhaven.
Hake knows it’s only a matter of time before Neil Smith’s side start climbing up the Premier Division table.
He said: “We have had a great league start to the season and Cray not so good. But it’s early days and come the end of the season they will be there, or thereabouts, like they was last year.
“Smudge is a great manager and will have them well set up so it promises to be an entertaining game.
“Hopefully we will have a few players back from injury to challenge for places and recent signing Tommie Fagg will be in contention to make his league debut after scoring last week in FA Cup.”
Forward Fagg has joined Chats on loan from Tonbridge Angels for an initial one-month loan.
Chatham left-back Joe Taylor, meanwhile, has been selected to represent Montserrat in the 2023 CONCACAF Nations League. They are set to play Barbados on Saturday and Dominican Republic on Tuesday.
