Chatham Town Women are looking for a new manager after a difficult start to the season.
It’s been announced by the club that interim boss Jesus Cordon has left, having taken over from outgoing manager Dan Logue in August, ahead of the team’s National League South Premier campaign.
Chatham have struggled this season with just one point in the league, after a goallkess draw with Billericay, which was followed by heavy defeats against Oxford United and Portsmouth and a first-round WNL Plate exit at the hands of lower-league London Seaward on Sunday.
Chatham had also been beaten by AFC Wimbledon in the Women’s FA Cup.
Ahead of two home games in the space of three days coming up, men’s manager and club chairman Kevin Hake will take charge while the club seek a permanent appointment.
A club statement said: “Chatham Town Women can confirm the departure of Jesus Cordon as our interim manager.
“All at Chatham Town Women would like to thank JC for his efforts and commitment during his spell as both assistant manager and interim manager during a difficult period.
“The search for a new permanent manager is now underway with applications invited from interested applicants.
“The successful candidate will ideally have their UEFA A-License or at least show that they’re working towards this qualification. You’ll have excellent communication skills and be able to show a clear demonstration of high levels of performance in a regular working environment.”
Those wishing to take on the role have until Sunday to declare their interest, ahead of an interview process. Anyone wishing to apply can sent their details by email to ctwsecretary@chathamtownfc.com.
Chatham host Plymouth Argyle on Sunday (2.30pm kick off) before then welcoming London Bees to the Bauvill Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
