Chatham have parted company with manager Paul Piggott after a poor start to life in the Southern Counties East League.
Piggott took over at Maidstone Road last November with the club in the Ryman League Division 1 South relegation zone.
He was unable to keep them up - but his fate has been decided by a poor start to this season at the lower level.
Chatham are in the bottom four of the Premier Division with just one win in eight league games so far.
Piggott's only win was against his former club, Hollands & Blair, earlier this month while their heaviest defeat was a 7-1 thrashing at Sheppey at the end of August.
A club statement said: "The club would like to thank Paul for his commitent and efforts throughout his time at Chatham Town.
"The club has decided that it was time for a change and we would like to wish Paul the very best in the future.
"Director of football Steve Binks has been appointed as interim manager until a permanent manager is appointed."
Piggott's final game was a 2-0 defeat at Deal on Tuesday night.
