Chatham are hoping they can build on one of their best displays of the season when they host Waltham Abbey.
A positive performance last weekend earned Chats a point at Dereham in Ryman League, Division 1 North.
Assistant boss Peter Hawkins now hopes to be boasting a much-needed win by Saturday night.
Chatham go into the Waltham Abbey game without a win in their last 10 league matches.
“We were disappointed not to come away from that last game with three points,” said Hawkins. “It was one of the best performances of the season.
“We defended well and looked solid. Tom (Wellham, goalkeeper) didn’t have a lot to do and going forward, we created a lot more than we had in recent weeks.”
Chatham now need a win to climb their way away from the bottom sides in the table.
Hawkins said: “That win has to come soon and it will do. We do need a bit of luck but once we pick up that win, it will build our confidence back and people can start believing.”
