Chatham take on top-of-the-table Witham at the weekend following Tuesday night's defeat to Sittingbourne in the Kent Senior Cup.
The Ryman League Division 1 North leaders visit Maidstone Roadon Saturday and Chats manager Kevin Watson said: “Without sounding disrespectful, we won’t approach the game any differently because we’ve got the leaders.
“When we’re playing well and to our potential, we can certainly get results against any team at our level. We’ll just focus on ourselves.”
Lee Hales is away for the Witham game and Watson is likely to name a side not dissimilar to the one which beat the Erith & Belvedere 5-0 last weekend.
Chatham’s involvement in this season’s Kent Senior Cup came to an abrupt end at the first hurdle on Tuesday night when they lost 3-0 to Sittingbourne.
Watson left out eight of the players who started Saturday’s FA Cup win over the Deres.
He said: “I don’t regret making the changes. If you’re going to have a big squad, people need to play games, they can’t come in cold.
“I put a team out that I felt could win the game. Sittingbourne probably deserved to win but whether there were three goals in it, that’s debatable."
