Teenager Joe Coyd has been selected to represent England in the Wheelchair Rugby World Cup.
England are heading into July’s World Cup, held at Medway Park, looking to retain the title won in Australia back in 2008.
Medway Dragons player Coyd, 15, is the youngest player to have been named in the squad.
He got the chance to train for a place in the squad last year after a fine Four Nations performance in June, at Hull, where he was top try scorer.
Medway Dragons’ head coach Mark Roughsedge was delighted to see Coyd included.
He said: “I am so pleased for Joe. He is the youngest player by a long margin and has worked hard on his technique and game plays.
“He made it almost impossible to leave him out as he is able to compete at the highest level and has great game sense and distribution skills."
Coyd will be looking to help the champions as they come up against challenges from Australia and France.
