Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish is pleased his side have achieved their season’s opening objective of qualifying for the ENIHL Cup final.
The Mos gained the point they needed for progression from an ill-tempered 5-4 win against Haringey on Sunday.
"It’s a great thing to have achieved our opening goal of the season," said Parrish. "Our performance against Haringey was pretty poor but we are winning without being at our best and a win’s a win."
A run of eight straight league games begins on Sunday when Streatham Redskins visit the Gillingham Ice Bowl for the sides’ second meeting of the year.
Invicta won the first game 5-2 in south London and Parrish expects the same type of challenge this time around.
"They still have the same squad of players," he said. "And although they’ve had a few bad results recently, their win against Cardiff last weekend was an impressive result.
"You have to be wary of every team this year because of the standard of the league. But if we concentrate on our game and focus our minds on what we are doing, then we can pick up the results we need."
Captain Grant Baxter is set for a late fitness test on his shoulder after he suffered a setback during Tuesday’s training session. Glen Jackson is likely to get the nod in net.
