Kent-based football coach Jamie Day is the new assistant manager at Swindon Town.
Day, 42, joins the County Ground club as no.2 to former Chatham Town manager Scott Lindsey. Swindon made the League 2 play-offs last season but missed out on promotion.
The former Dover, Dartford, Welling and Ebbsfleet player went onto coach and manage in the county.
He worked at the Gills under Ady Pennock and more recently was head coach of the Bangladesh national team.
Prior to that, he had management spells at Welling and Ebbsfleet among others.
He told the Swindon Town website: “I’m really looking forward to the job ahead and working with Scott, who has already done great things here at the football club.
“We came up against each other during our playing days and we’ve always had a mutual respect for each other and stayed in touch.
“He wants to play the game in the right way and I’m really excited with his plans and where he wants to take the club.”
Lindsey was promoted to first-team head coach after manager Ben Garner joined Charlton.
