Gavin Hoyte has signed a new deal with Gillingham until the end of the season.
The right-back was on a contract at Gills until January 18 having signed shortly after the start of the season.
Hoyte, formerly of Arsenal, has had a stop-start first five months with the Gills and was out of favour before Peter Taylor got the sack.
He was reinstated to the side under the current caretaker management team.
Gills coach Steve Lovell revealed recently that he would be keen to see Hoyte stay, having been impressed with the 24-year-old.
The new deal was signed on Friday and lasts until May 19.
Hoyte has started Gillingham’s last two games and has so far made 17 appearances.
