INVICTA Dynamos suffered another heavy defeat in the EPIHL Cup despite a brave performance against Romford Raiders.
Dynamos have struggled against higher division opponents in the cup competition but made Romford work hard for the 7-4 win on Sunday.
Premier League side Romford were on ropes early on, as Andy Smith finished well, to give Invicta a single goal lead in the first period.
The Raiders got back into the match in the second and a trio of goals gave them a good lead. Anthony Leone pulled one back though to keep Invicta in the match.
Peter Korff’s early strike in the third levelled the match back up at 3-3 as Invicta refused to give in.
Three goals in three minutes from Romford finally put the tie beyond doubt and a seventh was harsh on Invicta. A well taken effort from Kevin Lake ensured Dynamos finished on a high.
