Invicta Dynamos’ unbeaten sequence ended at 24 games on Sunday, as their reduced squad lost 6-3 at fellow play-off qualifiers Oxford in the English National League, Division 1 South.

Icing without seven regulars, including banned duo Martin Melichercik and Milan Kostolny, the visitors were always likely to struggle, and so it proved.

Despite the best efforts of Karl Lennon, who scored twice in the opening period - Darren Elliott, Joe Edwards and Grant Bailey replied to give the home side a 3-2 first-period lead.

Andy Cox, Mark Krater and Andrew Shurmer put the game beyond the newly-crowned champions with three further goals, before Laurence Billing’s ninth of the season restored some pride for Kevin Parrish’s side.
