The season is only just over but the Gills are already in the market - for a harpist.
The unusual request was posted on the club’s twitter account and their leading scorer Tom Eaves was quick to put his name forward.
Eaves smashed in 22 goals last season but he loves his music and is currently learning to play the piano.
“I’m a bit rusty but is the position still available!?” said the Liverpudlian, in response to the advert.
The Gills say they are looking for a harpist to “potentially perform as part of a team for matchdays next season.”
Anyone interested is asked to contact the club’s customer engagement team on sales@priestfield.com.
Eaves is out of contract this summer and the Gills are keen to keep him. He was offered a new deal by the club mid-season but terms couldn't be agreed then.
Their media team responded to his interest by tweeting: “We must stress it's a two-year deal. If you let us know your rate we'll try and swing it for you!”
On Sunday, Gills’ star man Eaves was filmed in the club’s Piano Bar playing John Lennon’s Imagine.
The Gills, meanwhile, are still without a manager for next season, having relieved Steve Lovell of his duties.
Lovell may not be in charge anymore, but chairman Paul Scally says the goalscoring legend remains a friend of the club.
