The ladies at Lordswood Valkyries picked up valuable tips when two England internationals attended a recent training session.
They held a 90-minute session which was led by Harlequins’ Aylesford-born Rosie Galligan, who was joined by fellow squad member and 2014 World Cup winner Marlie Packer, of Saracens.
The session - which also involved Sheppey Ewes - was followed by a detailed look at the tackle technique, where the England internationals explained how to pull someone in to create more impact.
New techniques for jumping in the line-out and starting a maul were also demonstrated to the forwards.
Lordswood sit comfortably in the middle of the Women’s NC2 South East League, with only a few fixtures left this season.
The Valkyries train on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.30pm until 9pm.
