Gillingham midfielder Josh Chambers was involved in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday after heading out on loan.
The 19-year-old has joined National South side Welling United on loan, initially for a month.
Chambers has been involved in all three of Gillingham’s EFL Trophy group stage matches this season but hasn’t made an appearance in the league.
He was named in the starting eleven for Danny Bloor’s side on Saturday and played the full game in a 4-3 win over Slough Town.
The Wings are third from bottom in the division.
Chambers had a loan spell at Worthing last season. He made his Gills debut in April 2022, in a League 1 game at Sunderland, but that remains his only start in the league, with two other substitute appearances since then.
